The Allensbach Opinion Poll, July 1971

Dear William Hague and GCHQ,

Here's something of interest and if you have nothing to hide then maybe you should consider writing it down:

On 26 July 1971 Der Spiegel published the Allensbach Opinion Poll which found that 40% of young people were prepared to describe the Red Army Faction's motives as political, not criminal; 20% indicated that they could understand efforts to protect fugitives from capture; and 6% stated that they would be willing to conceal a fugitive.

You're welcome,
D Arigâteau
