Can Dialectics Break Bricks?

An absolute screaming tour de force with détournement writ exceedingly large, yes. And mixed in with all the important stuff including Dutronc and Ravachol and so forth, bien sûr, not kidding. It's about 80 minutes long, so not a quick dip then, but I watched this while multi-tasking, full-screen while hanging up the washing. Cowards like Godard might baulk at such activity but I find it may have increased the pleasure. I laughed out loud more deeply, more richly in those 80 minutes than in all the previous 80 eternities running consecutively and concurrently.

And of course it is the bureaucrats for whom I felt the most sorry, the most concern, for it is they who surely will never know an ounce of real joy. The only other thing for me to say is that the English sub-titles really help, being, as they are, more extreme than the French "original". I would like to thank my auld china plate Chopper for turning me on to the majesté. And I would like to see it again, hi-res and big-screen in a fancy screening room with comfortable seats, air-conditioning, drinks, canapés and 40 to 50 of my very favourite people, perhaps at my funeral even. Further détails on Wikipedia naturally.

If you can't find the time to watch then here are some choice extracts:
